Plucker Viewer

Plucker was originally designed as an internet site download tool in order to browse web sites offline on a small scape PDA like device like the Palm Pilot.
Today Plucker has evolved as one of the top most free portable formats for sharing structured text and picture data contained in one archive.

Since the Plucker project already offers a GTK+ version of the Plucker reader application this aplication was ported to the Maemo Development Platform and the Hildon user interface.

As a functional addition the Maemo/Hildon version now also includes per ebook bookmark handling and SQL database handling of bookmarks and library.

[Plucker Bookview]

The current version is based on Plucker sourcecode V1.8. Some example ebooks for Plucker can be found in the samples section of the Plucker homepage, especially the shown example book Alice in Wonderland can be found there.
We have prepared a more modern example using the free e-text from Bruce Sterling, The Hacker Crackdown.
Or you might try Karl Vogel's book about how to run a successful open source project: Producing Open Source Software.
