Maemo Easy Install Applications

On this page we provide prepared links and step by installation guidelines for our ports of well known open source applications to the maemo platform.

Since the current maemo application installer does not handle dependencies very well the user has to care about depending packages by himself. To help we have created a buttom list of downloads for each applications which starts with the depending packages and end with the application itself. This way after following the all mentioned steps all needed packages will be installed in the right order an after finishing all downloads and install the applications will simply work - just as it's ought to be!

  A very well written and entertaining description of the beginnings of computerised telecommunication, from manual switchboards to modern digital switching stations. The focus lies on the very struggles of the governmantal institutions of the USA to handle this new digital frontier and how quite innocent people, the hackers, were blamed for the ignorance of the superiors.
• Alice In Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll
  Well, this is the obvious, the well known tale of the girl Alice exploring Wonderland.
  This book contains quite some very nice illustrations which show the graphic capabilities of Plucker.

• The browser will help you choosing the packages by displaying the already downloaded packages' links in another colour.
• Some of the above packages share the same package dependencies, like libsqlite. Those of course only have to be installed once.
• After successful download and installation it may be necessary to reboot the device in order make full use of the installed data - e.g. the icons are not displayed correctly in the applications launcher's menu. After a reboot everything should be fine!
